The short version
Langdock is a Berlin-based, model-agnostic AI platform: Chat, custom Agents, Workflows, Integrations and an API. Companies buy seats, optionally add Workflows, Governance or API, and use models from multiple providers. It is hosted via Microsoft Azure inside the EU in its multi-tenant setup, and it also offers dedicated and self-managed deployment for large customers.
Sluis is an Amsterdam-based AI workspace and governed gateway. It also uses models from many providers, hosts in the EU, and has an optional self-hosted data plane. The biggest differences are pricing model, what sits between your data and the model provider, and how audit works.
Because both are European and both state ISO 27001 certification, treat this as a close comparison between two reasonable choices. For the wider field, see European ChatGPT alternatives for organisations.

Pricing
Langdock's pricing page lists a 7-day free trial, a Business plan at €25 per user per month (excluding VAT) for the Standard seat, a Business Max seat at €99 with five times more usage, and Enterprise on request. Whether model usage is included is shown as a toggle on the page, so check which variant you are pricing. Workflows (starting at €539 per workspace per month for 40k runs), the Governance add-on and the API add-on are separate. The Governance add-on is listed as free until 1 January 2027, then priced per user.
Sluis has no subscription and no seat fee. Managed model usage costs provider list price plus 10%. With your own provider keys, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, Sluis charges €0.50 per 1M input plus output tokens, and the provider bills separately. Self-service is prepaid, with a €25 minimum credit purchase, no free tier and payment-method surcharges. The Agent Harness for coding agents adds €16.50 per active managed provider account per month, plus VAT. See the pricing page.
A seat price is predictable and simple to budget. A usage price is cheaper for light or uneven use and more expensive for very heavy users than a flat plan could be. Model the numbers for your headcount.
Data residency and protection
Langdock states that its multi-tenant SaaS runs on Azure servers inside the EU, that the whole application and most models (configurable) can be hosted in the EU, and that customers may deploy in their own infrastructure. It states ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 Type II audits, GDPR alignment, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), and that customer data is never used to train models.
Sluis is also hosted in the EU and ISO 27001 certified. Where it differs is the data path. API routing defaults to EU-only; organisations decide whether to allow other jurisdictions or require EU-owned providers, and these are separate settings, because an EU region does not imply an EU-owned provider. Before a request leaves, Sluis detects PII and secrets (60 built-in detectors, plus optional name recognition) and applies policy: block, mask, log, or reversible pseudonymization with typed tokens such as «EMAIL_1», restored in the response. Detection is not a guarantee that every sensitive value is found, and using Sluis does not by itself establish GDPR compliance.
Langdock's published security page does not describe pseudonymization of prompts; if that matters, ask them directly.
Admin and governance
Langdock offers workspace-level permissions, integrations that mirror source-tool permissions, optional analytics, and a Governance add-on to review, approve or disable agents and run compliance checks, with templates for the EU AI Act and GDPR. SSO, SCIM and SAML are listed under the Business plan, which it lists for up to 1,000 users.
Sluis offers per-workload budgets and limits, residency and provider-ownership policy, a scope guard that can refuse out-of-scope model calls, deny-by-default MCP tool grants and a request-grouped, hash-chained audit log. Members sign in with Microsoft, Google or Apple, can add an authenticator app, and owners can require two-factor. Sluis has no SAML single sign-on or SCIM provisioning, so check that first if your identity setup depends on it.
Integrations and automation
This is where Langdock is strong. It lists Workflows, an integrations catalogue, an Excel add-in, an Outlook add-in, desktop and mobile apps, and agent-building for business teams. Sluis connects external tools through MCP under the same gate, builds agents and Skills by describing them in a chat, schedules agent runs, supports spreadsheets and presentations in and out, and offers private or shared Knowledge. Sluis's workflow automation is agent-based rather than a visual workflow builder.
For developers, Sluis exposes OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic Messages endpoints, so existing applications and coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor connect by changing a base URL. Langdock also offers an API, as a paid add-on.
When Langdock is the better choice
- You want a seat-priced assistant with a broad integration catalogue, workflow automation and add-ins for Excel and Outlook.
- You need SCIM provisioning and SOC 2 Type II reporting now.
- Predictable per-user budgeting matters more than per-token savings.
- A German vendor with Azure-hosted EU infrastructure fits your procurement.
When Sluis is the better choice
- You want pseudonymization and policy enforced on each request before any provider sees the data.
- You need one policy and one audit trail for employees, applications and coding agents.
- You prefer usage pricing with no seat fees and no platform subscription.
- You want a self-hosted data plane through Sluis Edge, or explicit control over provider ownership as a separate policy.
FAQ
Are Langdock and Sluis both hosted in the EU?
Yes. Langdock states multi-tenant SaaS on Azure in the EU; Sluis states a managed service hosted in the EU with EU-only API routing by default. Check each vendor's subprocessor list for the exact providers.
Can I bring my own model keys?
Both support it. In Sluis, bring-your-own-key and custom OpenAI-compatible providers cost €0.50 per 1M input plus output tokens in Sluis fees, plus the provider's own charges.
Which one has more certifications?
Langdock states ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II. Sluis is ISO 27001 certified. Ask each vendor for current reports.
Which is cheaper for 100 employees?
It depends on usage. At Langdock's listed €25 Business base price, 100 Standard seats come to at most €2,500 per month excluding VAT, before volume discounts and add-ons. Sluis has no seat fees; the cost is provider list price plus 10% on what is actually used.
Can I run either on my own infrastructure?
Langdock offers single-tenant SaaS from 2,000 seats and own-cloud or on-premises deployment from 5,000 seats. Sluis offers Sluis Edge, an enterprise-only data plane that runs as one binary on your servers, managed from the same console, with a flat annual licence per gateway.
